The Seguin Main Street Program and Convention & Visitors Bureau recently launched a new app that will help residents and visitors alike plan their visit to Seguin with a custom itinerary builder.
Gone are the days of printing out all the places you want to visit and mapping them out one-by-one. Designed with our partners at Visit Widget, this tool provides a new way to explore what the city has to offer, including hotels, popular restaurants, activities, shopping, and more.
You can start building your itinerary either through the Visit Seguin, TX mobile app or on your desktop by clicking on the "Plan a Visit" icon at www.visitseguin.com. Once you complete your itinerary, you can text it to yourself or download the Visit Seguin, TX mobile app to take it with you. Once you arrive in Seguin, press start and your phone will give you turn-by-turn directions to get to your next destination.
Included on the app are all the downtown retailers, restaurants, bars, and attractions with their hours of operation, contact information, web sites, and a brief description. So the next time you are planning an outing in downtown Seguin, be sure to check the app to make sure you are visiting all the new businesses opening and returning to some of your favorites.
Also on the app is information on all upcoming events and festivals. The app will allow staff with the visitor center to send notifications about upcoming events directly to your phone so you always have the most current information.
"It seemed, before the pandemic, there were events in Central Park every other weekend and we would always hear from the public that they did not know about the event," said Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street & CVB Director. "With the ability to send push notifications, gone are the days of people not knowing about the events happening in their own backyard."
