Pecan Fest is right around the corner and we are more excited than ever! All weekend long there will be fun Seguin spirited events all over town. One of the largest events on Saturday, October 26 will be Seguin Main Street’s Trade Days in Central Park featuring almost 100 vendors selling home décor, clothing, art, food and of course pecans.
Christy Hopper, Seguin Main Street Program Assistant, said, “This year we have a lot of new vendors and have a variety of pecan vendors, more pecan vendors than we have ever had in the past. This includes whole pecans, shelled pecans, pecan candies, pecan baked goods and more!”
Pecan vendors include WW Farms selling their shelled pecans, Guadalupe County Crime Stoppers selling pecan pies and cookies, the Seguin Conservation Society selling pecan baked goods, Grammies Pecans and Gifts selling pecan candies, Texas Pecan Cakes selling their unique cakes, Casey’s Cottage selling pecan brittle and Log Cabin Furniture selling furniture made of pecan wood.
One vendor Seguin Main Street is excited about is the candy bar manufacturer Mars Wrigley who is launching a new Snickers Pecan Bar at this years Pecan Fest! This bar is an exclusive fan picked product, in early September their survey read that Florida wanted cashews, California wanted pistachios, Hawaii wanted macadamia nuts, but Texas wanted Pecans! Go Texas! As of right now people can only order custom-curated boxes of 15 Snickers Pecan Bars online at SnickersPecan.com but if you come to Pecan Fest you can brag to all your friends that you had it up front and personal.
