Open for Business in Downtown Seguin

In the past few months, downtown has welcomed several new businesses, filling up vacant spaces and providing new shopping and services. Seguin Pharmacy, Culture, Saenz Boot Repair, Vape Case and Family Mattress have all opened in the last four months and Texas Poker Room, Lone Star Home Solutions and Baby Bonjour are all set to open this year. So there is much to celebrate in downtown, yet there is still room in downtown Seguin to open your dream business.

“Whether it be office space or retail space, there is still available buildings and suites available for lease,” said Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street and CVB Director, “One of the areas that we measure the success of our Main Street program is by the reduction in our vacant storefronts, so Main Street actively works to recruit new businesses and retain our existing businesses.”

Available retail spaces in downtown Seguin include 112 East Court Street. The 2500 square foot building sits across from the Courthouse with original hardwood floors and an open floor plan. Another smaller option includes 107 North River Street. The space is approximately 1200 square feet and is currently under renovation.

An additional retail space available for lease is 111 North Austin Street. The 1500 square foot space offers large storefront windows great for retail displays sure to attract the attention of passersby. The entire first floor of the Park Plaza Hotel is available for lease for a future restaurant. The space comes with a fully functioning commercial kitchen and many of the furnishings for a restaurant and bar.

For businesses looking for office space, several suites are available around downtown. You will find some incredible views of Seguin from the office space on the fourth floor of the Aumont Hotel at 301 North Austin Street. Additional office suites are available inside Wells Fargo and Plaza Office Building at 113 South River Street. First floor office space is also available at 106 East Court Street for a professional office with a high volume of traffic.

“Our vacancy rate continues to decline in downtown Seguin, and as spaces become move-in ready, they are not staying on the market long,” said Kramm, “Often a business owner does not have the expertise to renovate a building, so as property owners finish renovations and rehabilitations, the buildings and spaces are being filled.”

For information on these spaces or additional buildings in downtown and more, contact the Seguin Main Street Program at (830) 401-2448 or visit their department website page at www.seguintexas.gov.
