Get Nutty with Us - Host Your Own Pecan Fest Event

The City of Seguin’s Main Street Program and Visit Seguin are in preparation mode for the annual Pecan Fest scheduled for October 30, 2021. The annual event is a celebration of Seguin’s famous nut and the community’s cultural and agricultural heritage.

The annual event includes vendors, live entertainment, history, kids activities, and of course, pecans. Multiple nonprofit organizations and businesses host their own official Pecan Fest event creating a packed weekend of fun.

“Every year we (Seguin Main Street & Visit Seguin) work with our partners in planning and promoting Pecan Fest and all the activities associated with the day, like the Seguin Art League’s Paint Out, the Wilson Pottery Foundation’s pottery show, and the Big Red Barn’s ag exhibits,” said Kyle Kramm, Seguin Main Street & CVB Director, “And we want to encourage other organizations to be involved in Pecan Fest 2021 by hosting their own Pecan Fest event.”

To host an official Pecan Fest event, the organization needs to develop an event that includes pecans or has a connection to Seguin’s heritage. Once the concept of the event has been developed, complete the participation form found on the Pecan Fest web site, www.seguingonuts.com. As your organization works to develop their Pecan Fest event, you are encouraged to consult with the staff of Seguin Main Street and Visit Seguin to discuss your plans.

Not looking to host your own Pecan Fest event, maybe you might be interested in being a vendor at Pecan Fest. Seguin Main Street will be hosting their Fall Trade Days during Pecan Fest and there is still limited room for vendors. Applications to be a vendor can be found online at the Pecan Fest web site or be picked up at the Visitor Center at 116 North Camp Street.

Have questions about getting involved and participating in Pecan Fest 2021, contact the Seguin Main Street Program at (830) 401-2448 or mainstreet@seguintexas.gov.

Mark your calendars now to plan on having a nutty good time on October 30 at Pecan Fest 2021.
