Five Minutes ‘Till Curtain Call

As you may know historic downtown Seguin has a lot to offer. Along with stores, museums, and bars that date back to decades, even centuries, downtown Seguin also boasts two historic theatres, The Palace Theatre and the Stephen and Mary Birch Texas Theatre. These old gems have been revamped and are still ready to provide quality entertainment. With a little more than two months in 2019, both theaters have two must see shows to close out 2019.

This retro art-deco theatre is ready to take you back in history with some old school performances. Critics rave about this theatre anytime they visit calling it “A cool throwback,” “A blast to the past,” “Cozy with not a single bad seat in the house,” and “A great retro venue.”


Nov. 10th. Marty Haggard Returns with a Tribute to His Dad, Merle Haggard at 7pm.

Marty Haggard is back by popular demand after his last sold-out show at The Palace Theatre in Seguin! Marty pays tribute to his famous dad, the late country music legend MERLE HAGGARD, singing all your favorite Merle Haggard hits and sharing interesting, intimate stories behind the songs and the man. Dec. 14th. A Rockin’ Little Christmas at 4pm.

Sting Ray Anthony with his unparalleled Tribute to the Rock ‘n Rollers of the 50’s & 60’s creates a high energy show taking the music to another level. The Heart, The Soul of Rock N Roll has been playing to sold out crowds across the U.S.A and now they are here! Nov. 10th. Heart of Texas Roadshow with the Malpass Brothers at 3 p.m.

These famous as seen on Red TV brothers are ready to bring their traditional country music to the stage of the Texas Theatre. Haven’t heard of them? These brothers provide a smooth vocal blend and skillful musicianship playing old classic country hits. Buy your tickets for the show online at www.thetexas.org or at Gift & Gourmet, Keepers or the Seguin Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.


Dec. 19-22. "Christmas Belles" at 7 p.m. (2:30 p.m. on Dec. 22).

Set in a small Texas town, this is a story about a church Christmas program spinning hilariously out of control in this Southern farce about squabbling sisters, family secrets, a surly Santa, a vengeful sheep and a reluctant Elvis impersonator. Auditions are being held Oct. 28th and 29th from 5-7 pm at the Texas where they are looking for adults 20’s-60's 4 men and 7 women. Tickets go on sale Dec. 5th.
