Central Park to fill up with Kids

Celebrate Seguin’s youngest citizens at the 10th annual Kids’ Day in the Park. This event allows families to learn more about local programs and services hosted by Connections Individual and Family Services, a local nonprofit organization.

Kids’ Day in the Park is a FREE fun-filled, one-day event that offers entertainment, arts & crafts, face painting and interactive activities, information booths, food concessions and much more. All businesses and organizations that participate provide a fun youth activity so the kids that attend will definitely stay busy and engaged.

“Connections initiated the event to give other non-profit organizations an opportunity to share service information with families that may be in need of assistance. Over the years, the event has grown to include additional entertainment, local business involvement and expanded food options”, said Megan Dupree, Connections Outreach Coordinator.

Megan also recognizes some of the sponsors that assist with making this event happen, Los Cucos as the Title Sponsor, Guadalupe Regional Medical Center and Alligator Dental as Presenting Sponsors, and H-E-B for their in-kind donation to this event.

Connections Individual and Family Services is a local nonprofit that provides a safe and secure option for homeless, abused, or at-risk youth through collaboration with area school, nonprofits, churches, government agencies, and other youth serving resources. The goal for Connections is to empower youth, connect families, and build brighter futures which will display at Kids’ Day in the Park.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 20th from 10 am to 2 pm in Central Park at 201 S. Austin St. For more information on Kids’ Day in the Park, contact Connections at (830) 629-6571.
