What a better place to celebrate fall than in Seguin! With a full schedule of events, you will find yourself falling in love with this time of year.
Kicking things off this fall is the Seguin Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presenting Fiesta Patrias with music, food, and fun to fill Seguin’s Central Park on Saturday, September 15. The celebration begins at 4:00 p.m. and will continue all afternoon and into the evening. Entertainment slated to perform on Saturday are DA Krazy Pimpz, Conjunto Cats and Hunter Chavez/Los Cazadorez. There will be games for the kids along with food and arts & crafts vendors that will be selling tamales, buenlos, popcorn, hot dogs, cheese steaks, funnels cakes and mangonadas and street tacos. Next up is the Seguin Brewing Company’s 3rd Annual Octoberfest on September 28 and 29. They will close the block of 100 West Gonzales St for a fun filled street and beer hall festival. The 135th Guadalupe County Fair and Rodeo is scheduled for the second week of October. The 2nd oldest Fair in the state of Texas is one you don’t want to miss. With events to include livestock contest, BBQ cookoffs, trade fair, hot dog eating contest, dances with live entertainment, gardening exhibits, rodeo, tractor pull competition, pet show and lots more! Central Park will be filled with kids of our community on Saturday, October 20. Connections is scheduled to host their 10th annual Kids Day in the Park. This event is all about having a fun-filled day of entertainment, arts and crafts, informative and activity booths, food booths and much more. While this event is all about having fun, it is also is about informing the public about Connections and other family services in Seguin. Lastly, the annual Pecan Fest Heritage Days celebrates the City's famous nut and the rural heritage and cultures of the community during last weekend of October. Family-friendly and spanning across several different venues, this festival is the chance to take a scenic autumn stroll through downtown Seguin and enjoy all things pecan-related. Activities include a pub crawl, shopping at 90 vendors located in downtown, celebrate our rural heritage at the Red Barn, make arts and crafts with Teatro de Artes in Central Park, and so much more.
